Garden & Weight Update – Life is Thriving

Garden Update

Good evening everyone! I am so excited with our gardens progress. We have been putting Garden Update 3so much work into it and it has sometimes been tiring. We have to carry them inside and outside every day since we don’t have a greenhouse. In the short time we have been gardening we have never seen so much success starting from seeds. I know that some of our plants are ready for their containers but we don’t have the rest of our supplies to transfer them over yet. We are hoping they can handle their little pots a little while longer.

I am also very excited with the progress of our tomatoes. I have heard many times that tomatoes are difficult to grow from seed because they are fragile. They also have to be hardened off properly or else they can’t stand the elements outside. We have had perfect Garden Update 7weather for this progress. We have had warm temperatures, light to moderate wind, and plenty of sunshine. I know we have a cold front coming next week but I can’t complain about the weather recently. It has been awesome! We are so close to being able to leave the plants outside for the remainder of the gardening season. I just need to be a little more patient. I am very happy that our pets don’t mess with the plants while they are indoors.

Weight Update

Overall, this week has been great! I stepped on the scale this morning to find that I am down 19 lb total!! This is huge for me!! I started at 286 lb and I am now at 267. I am so proud of myself. I have really stepped up my walking each day to prepare for a big hike I Garden Update 1have to do next Friday. Part of my job involves a 2 1/2 day trip with my students and one of those days is an eight mile hike up a mountain. I have really kicked up my activity level so that I don’t die on that hike haha. I am really excited to challenge myself on that hike. It is going to be a lot of fun, even though I am really nervous about it.

I have not been sticking to Weight Watchers as I did in the beginning but I have been doing alright. I keep losing weight and I feel like I am getting stronger every day. My next goal is to lose one pound before my hike so that I hit 20 lbs lost before I climb that mountain.

How is your garden coming along? How is your weight loss journey? I love sharing this with all of you!!

You can totally knock that pound out of the park! You got this! I know you can do it. Some people might say “it’s just one pound”, but you and I know the hard work that gets put into losing even half a pound! And I know you’ve got it in you to get to where you want to be. Since you asked, it’s been a decent week for me too. I am one pound away from 170 lbs and that would give me a total loss to date of 130 POUNDS! AI also share my eating habbits on post tonight that have helped get me there.:) All the best!

I need to get my seedlings started. We have been cold here and even had some snow. I am in Indiana where you can have all four seasons in a day. I hope what I have planted so far thrives. I am not fortunate to have pets that leave my plants alone so I will be doing them in my office where I can shut the door so they stay out.
